Our meeting in between Christmas and Hogmanay (New Year) was well attended and it seems that quite a few of us made it out to the workshop to escape the celebrations. We had bowls, hollow forms, table lamps, racing cars and Santa's deliveries!! Read on for more:
Andrew Hall sent in some photos of Roman and Indy. We also got an AI image made from two shots of Lola and Syrus (Phil's dogs) in fantasy Christmas costumes!!
Burnsy sent in some photos of a recently completed table lamp in American Black Walnut. We also got a look at more preparation for the coming season with Cyanotype solution and a UV spotlight needed to help make a UV light box to allow for winter exposure of Cyanotypes ... lack of sunshine in the Scottish winter!!
Gary Lowe sent over some photos of a recent piece he had completed during the holiday period. This piece was turned rather than carved...and very nice it is too!!
Graham Brooks sent in some photos of a bowl made on multiple centres using a lathe mounted jig. Very nice work as always.
John Brown sent in some photos of a bowl made from a glued up blank. We also got some photos of a toy racing car made for a local club competition...John won first prize for it...no surprises, lovely bit of work!!
Julian Cleak sent in a photo of his pillar drill, located very handily in the living room...great for watching TV whilst working.
Martin Stacey sent in some photos of his delivery from Santa, seems like Martin must not have been on the naughty list this year then!!
